MANY HAVE ASKED WHAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO DO ABOUT OUR YEARLY
                                                                “CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE”.

AFTER MUCH THOUGHT WE HAVE DECIDED
NOT TO DO AN “OPEN HOUSE”   AS OF THIS DATE, WE DO NOT HAVE PLANS FOR THIS…. WE ARE TRYING SEVERAL DIFFERENT NEW IDEAS AFTER THE CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE IN 2009 AND THE PROBLEMS.  WE FEEL WHAT DONATIONS WE MAY RECEIVE CAN HAVE BETTER VALUE ON CONSTRUCTION FOR THE FINISHING.

OF OUR 2 PROJECT AT THIS TIME (SOLAR PANELS AND 4 MORE HEATED HUTS WITH RAD FLOORING FOR THE REST OF THE POTBELLY PIGS, AS THE 7 COMPLETED ARE GREAT..) THAN FOR A DAY OF FUN,,,,PUBLIC IS WELCOME, BUT DESTRUCTION AND ABUSE IS NOT.

PLEASE LISTEN TO LOCAL RADIO STATION:  KEKB FOR OUR “RADIO FUNDRASIER”.  WATCH IN
THE JUNE NEWSLETTER FOR MORE PUBLIC PROJECTS THAT WE WILL BE INVOLVED WITH ,A
ALONG WITH WATCHING THE WEBSITE.

May everyone start to have A GREAT AND FUN SUMMER and a lot of outside
time to exercise with your
 PET AND PLEASE REMEMBER

For Potbelly Pig owner’s:
SPRING is one of the most DANGEROUS TIMES for your pet.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with all those TOXIC PLANTS THAT ARE COMING INTO BLOOM, PLUS
ALL THE YARD AND GARDEN PRODUCTS THAT NOT ONLY YOU USE, BUT YOUR NEIGHBOR ALSO.

LOOKING FOR PARTS FOR OUT BACKHOE:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTS FOR OUR BACKHOE OLDER(1972) JOHN DEERE MODEL 500 C (LATE)  THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REBUILT, AND WE HAVE THE REBUILD PARTS, BUT THE BLOCK HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND SO FAR WE HAVE NOT AFTER 5 MONTHS BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONE OR A BACKHOE CHEAP ENOUGH TO PURCHASE,  FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT ROCKY @ 970-216-3895

(Thumper says if anyone has one to donate call us)  OLD IS GOOD

ALSO MORE PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER.

With the economy the way that it is in our location, we would like people to remember, “A small donation can make the difference, between our survival as a home for the Unique Potbelly pig and it’s survival.  Without help and donations from the public, it is going to be questionable how long we can continue to upgrade and accept animals.

The pictures attached below are one of the many projects that we will be DIFFICULT dealing with as the summer goes on.  This is underground water from irrigation fields adjoining our property, and without our backhoe it is going to be very difficult to maintain and keep dry area’ for the Potbelly pigs to have shade and play area out of the sun.

Seeping Water
This is where the potbelly pigs lay in the summer for shade, also can see where trees have drowned....

Seeping Water
This is or was summer feeding area, underground water has no where to drain without ditches
