March started off as normal, National Pig Day and I got another year
older!!!!!!!!!!!!
In our area, March came in like a lion or lioness, so hoping it goes
out like a lamb, including better weather.
We received 2 adult younger pigs and 3 babies this month, plus 15
calls to “dump” or place their pigs with normal excuses, no job,
moving, family problems & it is only the 14th.. Even had 1 lady tell
me, Well, Walter got to big, so I want to trade him for a “Tea-Cup
Size!”
We have decided to introduce a few new
programs and see if they will be helpful in supporting the
Pig-A-Sus Sector of our Organization
We are ALSO in the process of opening a
new building at the Pig-A-Sus, hopefully by end of May or early
June.
We are adding to all that we have with a “Piggy Summer Camp” & a
“Piggy Day Care facility.”
We already have a “Spoiled Pig Program” in place and are having
great success with that. This went into place in January 2010 and
already we are on our 3rd little guy and a waiting list of 2 more.
Since our personal income has been affected 100% by the loss of the
Energy Industry in our area, we have decided to do some additional
things with the Pig-A-Sus and Western Colorado Potbelly Pig
Educational Health Center to supplement their programs and income.
AFTER harvest this year we are going to
offer a “Winter Feed & Supplement” designed for the Rocky Mountain
Region of the USA. Pickup or shipping to the Rocky Mountain region
will be available. REMEMBER, THIS WILL BE FOR
THE COLORADO ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION PROGRAM ONLY…

Many of the things that we have in the past done for
FREE WILL NOW HAVE A CHARGE WITH THEM.
NOTHING THAT WILL BE OUT OF LINE, WE WILL STILL RUN EVERYTHING ON
THE “DONATION PROGRAM” AND HOPE THAT WE
CONTINUE TO RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM THE PAST SUPPORTOR’S.”
Grants seem to be harder & harder come by especially in the
“Potbelly Pig World” (In all that we have done at the Pig-A-Sus &
Western Colorado Potbelly Pig Education Health Center, we have not
received 1 grant)
