As many of you know last year we did the expensive Heated Hut Program for the older, arthritic potbelly pigs in the colder winter months, along with improvements for the Hydro-Therapy Program by purchasing and installing the Central Boiler Hot Water heating.

Now that this program has worked so good for 1/3^rd of the potbelly pig population, we are going to expand to Solar Panels for the summer usage of the heated Hydro-Therapy system. By doing this addition we assure the water temperatures and the lower electric billing, and will be able to continue the therapy year round. We have gotten estimates on this addition. Our goal is to have the therapy year round, plus be able to offer it to local veterinarians for usage in therapy for other animals. Hoping to secure an income for the Pig-A-Sus in future, as donations are far and in between with Jobs and economy. Our only hope at this present time is the friends of the potbelly pig and the Pig-A-Sus.

The Company we have contacted has 8 used panels that will work for us since it will be mainly summer usage and 2 circulating pumps plus 1 exchanger.

(This was all new last year and people have upgraded this year)

Since we are non-profit and their product is used, he is offering a great deal on cost for the items. Approximately $6,000. will cover the complete material list. Rocky, along with several others, will install at no additional cost. We need at least $3,000.00 for down payment on these materials.

We are looking for donations of any amounts. Please if you have a few extra dollars and want to see them put to good use, a donation to the fund that is giving the potbelly pigs an excellent quality of life will be greatly appreciated and remember it is TAX DEDUCTIBLE”

This is a much needed item, to continue with the projects that we now have under way. We also are applying for grant programs, but so far in 2 years, have not received any. This is a must for the 2^nd phase of a 3 phase project. Thanks,
